File: SCORM 2.0 Glossary
The development of SCORM 2.0 needs clear communications. Clear communications require, among other things, a common vocabulary with consistent definitions. A glossary differs from a dictionary in having only one definition per term. These definitions are appropriate for the specific domain; as such, they may be more restrictive than commonly used meanings. The attached file is a start on a SCORM 2.0 glossary. It is to be considered a starting point; the group refines definitions. The terms themselves are less important than the definitions. One participant in the LOM development suggested in jest that terms not be used at all, only numbers. A bit extreme, but the thought conveys the intent. It is possible that a term may be changed or added to suit a definition.
Please review the attached Glossary. Comment, make changes, add terms. Please add comments summarizing changes to this page so people can track modifications.
